Purpose
Echoes from the grave and other living voices venture toward the ultimate freeing of world markets by means of the Internet media derivative you see before you. Through video, audio, text and images — these media forces, guides by voices, combine to form DEHISTROY.US –
The primary objective of DEHISTROY.US is the continued education and vocalization of the questions, ideas and issues concerning the current state and direction of world markets, so that there continues to be a general trend toward freedom of the people through freedom in their markets. DEHISTROY.US maintains a view of market freedom consistent with the ideas expressed by Milton Friedman and seeks to bring fresh perspective to the principals of free markets through the lens of today’s exponential growth of technology which has been and continues to be the single largest positive influence on global markets to-date [1]. The efforts of DEHISTROY.US will be to show the relevancy of free market principals as solutions to at least every macro-problem facing every global market today.
DEHISTROY.US stands firm on the idea that any activities that seek to oppress the market also seek to oppress the freedom of the people, therefore, DEHISTROY.US will also serve as a platform to hold those with great influence on the markets accountable for oppressing the market or any portion thereof. This will be done through the mechanism of Internet derived media, invited contributors and public comments.
A free market is quite evolutionary and as a human invention it is nothing less than beautiful…
…thus, DEHISTROY.US is a beautiful mission.
Guiding Principles
“Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.“
“The only way that has ever been discovered to have a lot of people cooperate together voluntarily is through the free market. And that’s why it’s so essential to preserving individual freedom.”
“Immigration is a very important restriction to human freedom.”
“Concentrated power is not rendered harmless by the good intentions of those who create it.”
“The greatest advances of civilization, whether in architecture or painting, in science and literature, in industry or agriculture, have never come from centralized government.”
“Universities exist to transmit knowledge and understanding of ideas and values to students not to provide entertainment for spectators or employment for athletes.“
“Many people want the government to protect the consumer. A much more urgent problem is to protect the consumer from the government.“
“Most of the energy of political work is devoted to correcting the effects of mismanagement of government.“
“The Great Depression, like most other periods of severe unemployment, was produced by government mismanagement rather than by any inherent instability of the private economy.”
“Most economic fallacies derive from the tendency to assume that there is a fixed pie, that one party can gain only at the expense of another.”
“The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.“
“Inflation is the one form of taxation that can be imposed without legislation.”
“The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit.“
“Every friend of freedom must be as revolted as I am by the prospect of turning the United States into an armed camp, by the vision of jails filled with casual drug users and of an army of enforcers empowered to invade the liberty of citizens on slight evidence.“
“I’m in favor of legalizing drugs. According to my values system, if people want to kill themselves, they have every right to do so. Most of the harm that comes from drugs is because they are illegal.“
“There’s no such thing as a free lunch.”
